This is a wonderful little tea set that belonged to my mother, and most likely dates from the late 1930s/early 1940s. The pattern is small pink blossoms on vines with green leaves, and gold painted detailing. There are no marks to determine the maker, but as far as I can tell 1) it''s china, and 2) it''s hand-painted (there are slight variations in all of the designs).
The set consists of:
6 saucers (3 1/2" in diameter)
5 teacups (2 1/4" in diameter, 1 1/2" high)
6 plates (4" in diameter)
1 sugar bowl (4 3/4" wide w/handles, 2 1/4" tall)
1 creamer jug (3" tall lip to base, 3 1/4" diameter with handle)
1 teapot with lid (5 1/4 diameter incl. handle and spout, 3 1/2" tall incl. lid)
All of the pieces offered here are in excellent condition, without chips that I can see. Please see photos and feel free to contact me with any questions.
